A community where you'll learn to wrestle with the tensions between the story of God and the stories going on all around us.
Adults
A place to be formed in the image of Christ for the sake of our neighbors.
We’re committed to creating spaces, in-person and online, where we can be formed to love God and our neighbors more deeply. It takes on lots of shapes, but they’re all intended to help us deepen our journey with Jesus and love for our neighbors.
Classes & Forums.
We don’t always have the answers, but we’re learning to wrestle with the tensions in God’s Word + World. Because of this, we’re always looking for opportunities to learn how following Jesus informs and transforms our life and the lives of our neighbors.
Many of us think of grief as a short time period after someone we know dies. But grief is so much more. Grief happens anytime we experience any kind of change (even good changes!).
In these four weeks, led by Rev. Cathy Kolwey, we will develop together a greater understanding of what grief is, how it affects us emotionally and physically, and create a common language for talking about our grief as we move through our changes as a church together.
Topics include:
- WHAT IS GRIEF? Causes, stages, and types. (10/2)
- AM I GRIEVING? Secondary losses. Physical, emotional, spiritual symptoms. (10/9)
- HOW AM I COPING? Resources, Strategies, Activities (10/23)
- WHAT IS THE GIFT OF GRIEF? What can we build together. (10/30)
