Serve

Here, near and far, we’re serving & supporting our neighbors.

For us, service is an ongoing response to the kindness and generosity we’ve already experienced in our journey with Jesus. And from the beginning, our congregation has looked to partner with God in knowing, serving, and doing good alongside our neighbors.

We’re always looking to write new chapters in this story of missions by serving the world, with the world. Refer to the “Near” and “Far” sections of this page to learn more about our 2023-2024 mission partners.

Mock Savings Group Experience - Poverty Simulation (August 11, 2024)

The Missions Team invites you to learn more about our International Mission Partners. Hope International will conduct a Mock Savings Group where you can participate and gain a better understanding of what it means to live in poverty. Participants will role play a specific savings group member and engage using the stories of the individuals HOPE serves. “This opportunity demonstrates the transformative power of savings groups as participants symbolically meet, save money, and decide on loans together. By taking part in this experience, we hope that participants will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges of living in poverty, as well as fresh hope in God’s power to make all things new.” To learn more about this experience, click here.

A light lunch will be served and childcare provided for those under 12.

There’s limited space so sign up by August 1 so you can be a part of this meaningful experience.

Date: Sunday, August 11, 2024

Time: 10:45am – 12:15pm

Location: Hearth Room

Serve here at Meetinghouse.

No matter your age, stage, or season of life, there’s a place for you to serve at Meetinghouse. Find something that piques your interest, passion, or skill set, and sign up to serve. By serving in the church, or with one of our partners, we are transformed by the love of Jesus to care well for the world, with the world.

Emerging Generations

Whether it’s with kids, middle school, high school, or emerging adult ministries, you can accompany the next generation as they seek to become active participants in God’s redemptive story of love and justice.

Care Ministry

Our care ministries are about extending the love of Jesus who keeps company with us along life’s journey. We believe by loving God, we learn to care for the people that God has made, no matter where they are in their story.

Leadership & Service

Being a Congregational church takes a collective of people who know God’s generosity and respond by generously giving of their time and talent in every nook and cranny of our community. From Deacons to Kitchen Krew, Finance team to Sunday morning ushers and much more, there’s a place for you to make your mark on our community.

Music

Music moves us deeply – whether it’s worship music or otherwise, we celebrate its power to give language to our life with God and each other.
