Wednesdays

We believe life is better together.

Whether it’s creative gatherings for children and families, space to wrestle honestly with our faith journeys, small groups to catch up on life, or gathering together around the power of song, there’s something for everyone at our Wednesday night gatherings.

Our life together begins at the table.

A time-honored tradition - join us as we begin our Wednesday nights by eating and sharing life together. Dinner is open from 5:30-6:30pm in the Great Hall. $5 per person or $20 (max) per family.

Space for kids to create and explore God's world.

At Meetinghouse Church we’re committed to fostering environments where kids can forge their own journey with Jesus in ways that are safe, healthy, and integrated with whole of their lives. On Wednesday nights, we invite parents to drop off their kids for a variety of experiences that cultivate just that. 6:00pm - 7:30pm in Gathering Room 2 & 3.

Exploring God's redemptive story of love & justice.

Our Meetinghouse Youth community is passionate about creating space where everyone feels God's welcome regardless of who they are and what they do (or don't) believe. On Wednesday nights, we weave a mix of small group gatherings, conversations at the intersection of faith + justice, and off-site experiences. Middle School meets from 6:00pm - 7:30pm and High School meets from 7:30pm - 9:00pm in the Pond Room.

Wrestling with the tensions in God's Word & World.

Our Adult Education team is committed to creating space where we can stretch and grow our faith while building community with one another. 6:00pm - 7:30pm in the Hearth Room.

Many of us think of grief as a short time period after someone we know dies.  But grief is so much more. Grief happens anytime we experience any kind of change (even good changes!).

In these four weeks, led by Rev. Cathy Kolwey, we will develop together a greater understanding of what grief is, how it affects us emotionally and physically, and create a common language for talking about our grief as we move through our changes as a church together.

Topics include:

  • WHAT IS GRIEF? Causes, stages, and types. (10/2)
  • AM I GRIEVING? Secondary losses. Physical, emotional, spiritual symptoms. (10/9)
  • HOW AM I COPING? Resources, Strategies, Activities (10/23)
  • WHAT IS THE GIFT OF GRIEF? What can we build together. (10/30)

– Dates: Wednesdays October 2, 9, 23, & 30
– Location: Hearth Room
– Time: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
– Cost: None
– No registration required

Communal Work Space

Read a book, knock out a little extra work, connect with others, or just sit and rest for a bit. Our "volunteer room" is open for whatever you need on a Wednesday night. It's located through our reception area on the left.
