Trunk-or-Treat

Celebrate Halloween with this family-friendly gathering.

Join us for our third annual Trunk-or-Treat! Meetinghouse community members will decorate the trunks of their cars so kids and their adults can go trick-or-treating from car to car. All are welcome to this FREE event, so invite your friends or family!

Here's everything you need to know about Trunk-or-Treat.

Our Trunk-or-Treat event is Sunday, October 29th, with festivities starting at 11:00am at Countryside Parking Lot if you're not able to join us for worship at 9:30am that morning. Have more questions? We've got answers below.

Yes! Costumes are welcome but not required (for kids and adults!). Nevertheless we ask that you avoid bringing any toy weapons and wearing costumes which might frighten younger kids.

We know many kids have allergies or food sensitivities so there will also be a non-food trick or treat item which will include small toys such as stickers, glow sticks, etc. Each trunk will have these, so if you prefer it, just ask each trunk host.

There will be a mini donut food truck! (free of charge)

Of course! The Meetinghouse building will be open, and you’ll find bathrooms by the Main Entrance. (Feel free to take a peek through our building if it’s your first time here.)

Well this is Minnesota, so even if it’s a little cold, we’ll still be outside! Still, if the weather is too miserable, we’ll move the event inside!

There will be photographers at the event. By participating in the event, parents and guardians are consenting to Meetinghouse Church using photos and video of the event which may include their child(ren). These photos will be shared on our Facebook & Instagram pages but no identifying information will be shared – if you have a privacy concern, please feel free to speak to our staff taking photos and fill out this opt-out form, or if there is a photo shared on Facebook you want taken down please email Nicole Smalley at nsmalley@meetinghouse.church However this event is open to the public, as such we cannot attempt to regulate the personal use of cameras.

Volunteer @ Trunk-or-Treat

We'll need plenty of volunteers to make this possible. See below for how you can help out!

Bring your time and creativity and decorate the back of your vehicle! Hosts will be asked to stay at their vehicle the whole time, provide a small game at your trunk (we can help with ideas on these!), and supply wrapped candy to approximately 150 children. Google or visit Pinterest for some fun ideas.

You may make a financial donation that would go toward funding the event or drop off candy/small toys to be used at the event.
